BREWERIES
We work hard to build and maintain a unique and widely varied menu of local brews as well as the favorites from around the world. We try to find people who are passionate about brewing beer like these folks.
Abita Brewery
Abita brews lagers and ales in small batches, hand-crafted by a team of dedicated workers with only the highest ideals of quality. Mellow and Abita worked together in 2009 on a Habitat for Humanity New Orleans project donating money and personnel in rebuilding New Orleans.
Atlanta Brewing Company
Founded in 1993, the award-winning Atlanta Brewing Company (ABC), is the oldest operational brewery in the state of Georgia. Red Brick Ale was the first beer brewed by ABC and remains its flagship brand.
Bells Brewery
Our pals at Bell's Brewery brew beer thoughtfully, creatively and artistically. They are the oldest craft-brewer east of Boulder, Colorado and their Eccentric Cafe was the first Michigan brewery to serve beer, by the glass, to the public. Which seems like something of a no brainer to us, but, well, we're not brewers. Or from the Midwest.
Coopers
In addition to brewing great beers, Coopers is one of the world's largest producers of home brew ingredients. Brewed in Australia since 1862, the brewery's Managing Director and Chief Brewer is a fifth generation family member, Dr. Tim Cooper. A real, live, medical Dr. So ah, drink up mate. Doctors orders.
Dogfish Head
Dogfish has some of the finest beer brewery mad scientists on the planet. The owner, Sam Calagione is more than a brew master, he's a cult figure in the world of craft brewing. Using ingredients from all over the world, experimenting with unique methods, and brewing beer using recipes dating back thousands of years, what Sam does is true alchemy.
Magic Hat Brewing Company
A microbrewery located in South Burlington, VT, they began production in 1994 and was acquired by North American Breweries in 2010. They currently brew three year-round beers, four seasonals and one off-batch. Their year-round beers include: #9, Circus Boy, and Single Chair Ale.
Pisgah Brewing Company
Founded in 2004, Pisgah Brewing Company is the Southeast’s first Certified All Organic Brewery. Making a limited amount of high quality microbrews in Black Mountain North Carolina, these brews are truly a rare and delightful treasure to behold.
Rogue Brewery
Rogue's brews are all crafted by hand. And brain. And we're pretty sure there may be a lot of copper tubing involved, all watched over by their slightly eccentric brewmaster, John "Born to Brew" Maier. Who no doubt took a lot of grief back in grade school for that middle name, but hey - he made it work, and you'll dig the artistry in every glass.
Samuel Adams
Started in 1985 by Jim Koch, their first beer was the Sam Adams Boston Lager and made its debut in 25 restaurants and bars in Boston. Today, they have breweries in Boston, Cincinnati, and Pennsylvania with over 30 different beer styles.
Stone Brewery
Stone Brewery was started by two beer-lovin' guys who matched their tastes in beer and their ideals in brewing to create some truly amazing suds. Steve Wagner, the High Priest of Yeast, and his partner, Greg Koch, who surprisingly doesn't have a funny beer-related nickname, brew nothing but the highest quality, uncompromising beers imaginable.
Sweetwater Brewery
Sweetwater brewery is a 49,000 barrel microbrewery located in sunny Atlanta that specializes in churning out local favorites like 420, IPA, and the Festive Ale.
Terrapin Beer Co.
Terrapin Beer Company was founded by John Cochran and Brian "Spike" Buckowski who met while working at a microbrewery in Atlanta. They wanted to craft a beer unlike those made in the SE. They introduced their first beer, Rye Pale Ale in April 2002. Located in Athens, GA, they have released several beers that have garnered awards in the U.S. and internationally.
